Day 1: I started around 10 am from Camping Catrué in Anticura and took Variant A. I had to register at the CONAF park rangers. The first kilometers of the trail were well maintained. Later (maybe around km 17, but not sure) the trail became more overgrown and some fallen trees blocked the path. Nothing too difficult, though. Just before the pass and all the way to Pampa Frutilla, the route is very easy MR. I arrived at 4 pm at the lake. Very beautiful place and a nice campsite; -40.744569, -72.049854. I went for a swim and ate a lot of delicious, ripe strawberries.
Day 2: I took Variant D - summit Volcán Antillanca, which was very beautiful. I can definitely recommend this route. The trail in volcanic sand was very steep for a short section - almost one step forward, two steps back - but the effort is definitely worth it for the beautiful view from the summit. The way down was easy and fast - "skiing" in the sand.
The "overgrown trail" was indeed overgrown, but the path was always visible and not too difficult. I went down to: -40.81849, -72.17287 to get some water (the first water since Pampa Frutilla) and then went back a bit to camp here: -40.813512, -72.178649.
Day 3: I decided to walk with my rain pants and rain trousers. That was a good decision and they provided good protection against the wet and thorny bushes. The first kilometers went quickly. The trail was slightly overgrown but always visible. I was very surprised to suddenly encounter a cow with two calves before the main blowdown begins.
From -40.833669, -72.163586 the difficult part starts. The trail disappears completely for a short section and many overlapping fallen trees block the path. I tried to push through and balance on top of a pile of fallen trees. After 40 minutes, I realized I had just been walking in a circle. The really challenging part is less than one kilometer long. After that, many different trails appear and I lost the main path several times but was always able to find it again. In the end I have to say, that I actually expected something worse, since the truly challenging part is really quite short.
I could cross the Rio Gaviotas easily. The water reached below my thighs. I spent the night at a campsite in Las Gaviotas. There's also a little kiosk on the beach with some some basic groceries, and also empanadas, cakes, drinks,... It's open from 15:30 - 20:30: -40.88075, -72.17967
The ferry from Las Gaviotas leaves on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I am not sure about the exact timetable, but one departs Las Gaviotas at 7 am. There is another one in the afternoon, but only the 7 am ferry has a connecting bus to Osorno and another to Puerto Octay. I took the 7 am ferry on Friday; cost 200 Pesos. It did not go to El Poncho (the place marked in the GPT files). It stops a bit earlier at this point: -40.891185, -72.258816, called "Puerto El Buey". We arrived there shortly before 8 am and the bus also arrives at 8 am.

We combined the sections 20 and 21. To Anticura we got by hitchhiking from Entre Lagos. I am not sure how is the resupply in Anticura we didn’t see any shop. Alternative through ridge (variant D) was really nice.
Water:
After PR the last water is at 8km, then we found solid puddle from snow at 26km. Next reliable water source at 33,5km. No problem from there.
The biggest challenge on this section is definitely the bush from 30,5 to 36,5 km, first 4 out of this was kinda fine, the key is to stay on the trail it is there always, but sometimes not perfectly visible. But around 34km we lost the trail totally, and got stuck there for almost hour and we were barely moving. We tried to find the way of the least resistance and possibly stayed on the gpx line and luckily found the trail again. From there it was as before.
For the Lago Todos los santos transfer we asked in Refugio Los Condores and we got the offer to go for 75000 pesos, but I didn’t get that it is for person. So at the end we paid 150000, at least we went very next day early in the morning. I guess you can go any time if you pay and no need to wait.
Rest of the section is easy going, very good resupply option in Cochamó, we slept in Arcoíris camping next to the church.
