Beauty section, some challenges.
Started from Las Penas, Two nice spots for tents at Km 30.
Climb up to lake at Km 38 is nice. 2 stream still running along the climb.
Option 4 starts nice, good ridge walking. The “demanding clambers” are definitely demanding. I would perhaps describe them more aggressively than demanding, but with caution they are passable.
Decided to explore option 4l. Explore is a good term. Some sketchy cow trails along ridge due to landslides. The final descent to Estero de Pellejo is not a trail. 2 hours of difficult bushbashing down the spine of the ridge. Quite hard. I had seen a different trail divert off to left some time before descent, perhaps this is better, however not marked on OSM.
From there the trail reappears on the eastern side of the estero. The trail is good, although crosses river several times and does not follow GPX file. However, as you approach the final two kms it does.
Stayed at Camping in Los Quenes. Nice town.
